The Subsea Dispersant Injection System comprises a Coil Tubing Termination Head (CTTH), a dispersant manifold, high-volume chemical jumpers, deployment racks, and a range of dispersant wands:

  • CTTH - Interfaces with the coil tubing above and connects to the subsea dispersant manifold via two jumpers with high-flow hot stabs. Installed using ROV grabber bars, it features ROV-operated valves and a pressure gauge.
  • Manifold - A 2x1” input, 5x1” output unit that distributes dispersant across multiple points. It can be installed directly on the seabed via mudmat or on deployment racks for easier handling.
  • Dispersant Wands - Available in hook or straight configurations, these ROV-handled tools with paddle valves and gauges allow dispersant to be targeted precisely at leaking components.

The dispersant is delivered through hoses from vessel-based tanks and pumps, which are operator-supplied. The system is designed for a dispersant flow rate of up to 110 litres per minute, based on a 1:100 dispersant-to-oil ratio.
