Geeva Varghese

Geeva is the Country Manager for OSRL's Australia operations. She oversees OSRL's activities in the country and ensures alignment with global standards. She plays a key role in shaping the strategic direction of OSRL Australia and fostering strong relationships with our members and stakeholders in Australia.

Beginning her career with OSRL as a Spill Response Specialist with a background in Environmental Engineering, over the past 15 years, Geeva has gained a broad range of experiences, from hands-on spill response and delivering preparedness projects to leading OSRL's business expansion activities in Australia. As a Response Specialist, Geeva has attended to numerous spill incidents, including tanker spills, pipeline incidents and marine releases from E&P operations. This operational experience gained through response, proved invaluable as Geeva supported our members in the region on various preparedness projects, bringing a pragmatic realism to the preparedness solutions offered. She also played a key role in promoting industry good practices and engaging with key regulatory and industry stakeholders, particularly during her time as the External Engagement Advisor for the APAC region. Geeva also served as the founding Chair and later Discipline Mentor for OSRL's Subject Matter Expert Program for Dispersants.
