At OSRL, our mission extends beyond oil spill response. As a member-owned cooperative with a global footprint, we recognise the importance of operating responsibly—supporting the communities we work in, engaging our people, and minimising our environmental impact. Our approach to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) reflects our values and reinforces our role as a trusted industry partner.

Community engagement: supporting local impact

We’re proud to contribute to the communities that support our work. Across our bases, OSRL employees participate in local initiatives—from beach clean-ups and environmental projects to educational outreach and charity partnerships.

Volunteering & Local Projects – Our teams regularly take part in initiatives that benefit the communities where we operate.

Youth & Education – We engage with schools, universities, and training institutions to raise awareness of spill response and promote science and engineering careers.

Sponsorships – We support programmes that align with our values, including youth development initiatives such as the Tall Ships Youth Trust.

Environmental responsibility: minimising our impact

We are committed to managing our operational footprint through responsible resource use, safe chemical handling, and sustainable logistics and waste practices.
